The Secondary Section of Ansar English School, Perumpilavu organized a Food Distribution Programme near Guruvayoor Railway Station on 15th August 2025, as part of the Independence Day observance. The initiative aimed to create awareness among students about the value of food and the harsh reality of hunger faced by many in society.
A total of 20 student volunteers, accompanied by their escorting teachers ,actively participated in the programme. They distributed 20 lunch packets to the needy people in the locality.
The activity instilled in the students a strong sense of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. It also served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of valuing food and avoiding wastage, thereby making the Independence Day celebration more purposeful and impactful.
