Ansar English School, Perumpilavu, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with enthusiasm and national pride. As a prelude, students participated in programmes on August 12â13 under the theme âVision 2047 â Viksit Bharatâ, showcasing their dreams for a developed India through drawings, slogans, and poems.
The main celebration on August 15 began with the flag hoisting by Chief Guest Mr. Mohandas P., Retired Army Officer, followed by the distribution of payasam, a parade, patriotic songs, and stage programmes. Inspiring messages were delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. Najeeb Mohammed (Director), Mr. Feroz E.M. (Principal ), and Ms. Shyny Hamza (Vice Principal).
Cultural events, including dances, a tableau on the Dandi March, patriotic songs, and a grand parade, added colour to the day. A proud moment was the honouring of Prof. E. Mohammed, veteran clinical psychologist, with a ponnada and a memento. A delegation of teachers and student council members visited his residence to honour him and also gathered valuable insights through an interview.
The celebration served as both a tribute to freedom fighters and a pledge to work towards a stronger, united nation.
