Echoes of Freedom, Cries for Peace

With hearts united in patriotism and a shared dream of global harmony, Ansar English School commemorated Quit India Day and Hiroshima–Nagasaki Day through a series of inspiring programmes across its sections. On August 8, the Primary Section, led by Class 3H, observed Quit India Day and Nagasaki Day with a Sadako Crane Making Activity conveying messages of gratitude to freedom fighters, and a lively flash mob promoting the values of freedom and kindness. The same day, the Middle Section’s Class 8 I staged a powerful tableau depicting landmark moments from India’s freedom struggle, followed by a moving mime on the Nagasaki bombing that underscored the horrors of war and the need for peace. On August 11, the Secondary Section solemnly marked Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day with a Peace Walk carrying thought-provoking placards, a silent prayer, a Peace Wall filled with heartfelt messages, and a concluding Peace Pledge. Together, these events showcased the students’ creativity, confidence, and emotional depth, reflecting the school’s unwavering commitment to honouring the past while inspiring a compassionate and peaceful future.
