The Aquafarming by Students Program was successfully held on 16th October 2025 at the Fish Pond Area of Ansar English School, Perumpilavu. The event marked the stocking of a new batch of fish, continuing the school’s sustainable aquafarming initiative that was launched in 2023.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Najeeb Mohammed, Director of School Education. The occasion was graced by Mr. Feroz E.M. (Principal), Ms. Shyny Hamza (Vice Principal), and Ms. Ravya K.R. (Junior Principal), who participated actively by feeding the fish and motivating students to engage in eco-friendly and sustainable practices.
As part of expanding the project, a professional in aquaponics visited the school to assess and select a suitable site for establishing an aquaponics system, integrating fish farming with plant cultivation. This innovative step aims to promote environmental awareness and hands-on learning among students while fostering a sustainable ecosystem within the school campus.
