The Thrissur District Volleyball Championship was held at Ansar English School, Perumpilavu.
In the boysâ category, Amrita Vidyalayam, Kodungallur emerged as the champions, while Ansar English School, Perumpilavu secured the first runner-up position. IES Public School, Chittilappilly and CSM Central School, Edassery shared the second runner-up title.
In the girlsâ category, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kodungallur clinched the championship, followed by Amrita Vidyalayam, Kodungallur as first runner-up. The second runner-up position was shared by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolazhy and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidya Mandir, Irinjalakuda.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. P. Sivakumar, President of the Thrissur District Volleyball Association, and presided over by Fr. Lijo Paul, Executive Member of Thrissur Sahodaya.
Dr. Najeeb Muhammed (Director), Feroz E.M. (Principal), Shyny Hamza (Vice Principal), and Sports Captain Abdullah Kabeer addressed the gathering.
Teams from 14 CBSE schools across Thrissur district participated in the tournament.
Mr. Musthafa P. K., Executive Member of Thrissur Sahodaya, distributed trophies to the winners.
The matches were officiated by Jibin George, Manikandalal, Anil Kumar, and Jayadeep.
