Ansar English School, Perumpilavu observed World AIDS Day with meaningful awareness activities across the campus, all aimed at educating students, erasing stigma, and fostering compassion. The Senior Secondary section conducted an impactful programme that included a zero-period quiz, a thought-provoking video featuring an inspiring message from a medical expert, an on-the-spot quiz, and a poster-making competition to reinforce awareness and encourage creativity. In the Middle Section, students presented a powerful mime highlighting the importance of compassion and understanding, followed by the Red Ribbon Badge distribution to teachers, staff, and community members as a symbol of solidarity—an effort appreciated by the Principal for its strong social message. Meanwhile, the Secondary section observed the day with a Red Ribbon Badge distribution and a peer awareness campaign, where students visited classes to speak about HIV prevention, empathy, and healthy practices, helping dispel misconceptions and promote a supportive mindset. Collectively, these programmes enriched understanding, inspired hope, and strengthened the school’s commitment to building an informed, empathetic, and stigma-free community.
