World Food Day 2025 was meaningfully observed across different sections of the school through a series of impactful and value-driven activities held on October 14th, 16th, and 17th. The observance began on October 14th with a compassionate Food Distribution Drive to Mareena Old Age Home, Chowannur, organized by the NSS Unit to spread the spirit of sharing and care among students. On October 16th, various sections hosted engaging programs that combined creativity, awareness, and community participation. The Middle Section, led by Classes 6E and 6F, conducted a community outreach initiative titled “Sharing is Caring,” distributing biriyani packets to underprivileged people, thus fostering empathy and social responsibility. Meanwhile, the Secondary Section organized multiple events, including “Identify the Ingredients,” “Millet Madness,” and a Bulletin Board Competition on “The Value of Food,” which promoted awareness of nutrition, food diversity, and mindful consumption. Complementing these, a Parents’ Fireless Cooking Competition, along with a Video Presentation and Poster Display, enriched the day with hands-on learning and creative expression. The celebration concluded on October 17th with the Primary Section’s “My Healthy Plate” activity, where young learners showcased colourful, nutritious plates through sandwich and salad displays, emphasizing healthy eating and minimizing food waste. Altogether, the week-long observance embodied the true essence of World Food Day — cultivating awareness, gratitude, and a shared commitment to building a hunger-free world.
