The Ansari Charitable Trust

The Ansari Charitable Trust was founded in 1979, to provide compassionate and dedicated service to society in the areas of education, healthcare and social welfare paying special attention to orphans and destitute.

Late Jb. A V Abdul Majeed Saheb, a native of Chavakkad, later settled in Perumpilavu and a businessman in Qatar, ignited the first spark of his long-cherished dream at a meeting of 13 prominent personalities he convened in 1979 at Shantapuram Lodge, Perintalmanna, Malappuram. The participants, who included Late Jb. Shereef Moulavi, Late Jb. Abdul Ahad Thangal, Late Jb. Pookoya Thangal, Jb. K K Mammunni Moulavi, decided to give life to the idea proposed by Jb. Majeed Saheb by forming Ansari Charitable Trust nominating, from among them, Late Jb. Mohammed Abul Jalal Moulvai as life time Chairman and Jb. Majeed Saheb and Late Jb. Mala Abdul Salam Moulavi as life time Vice Chairman. Late Jb. P K Raheem Saheb was nominated as the first Secretary and Late Jb. V K Usman Saheb was nominated as the first Asst. Secretary.

The Trust was formed with 25 members contributing a land of 4.35 acres owned by Mrs. Jameela Abdul Majeed, wife of Jb. Majeed Saheb. However, the Trust, on suggestion of Late. Jb. Abdul Salam Moulavi and Late. Jb. C Ahamu Saheb, decided to establish the first institution – Ansar English School – at the current site for better visibility and accessibility.

Ansar English School started functioning in 1982 in a shed on the property of Jb. Hydrose Saheb and moved to new building in Ansar campus in 1984, five years after formation of the Trust. C Ahamu Saheb and Usman Saheb under the leadership of Abul Jalal Moulavi and P K Raheem Saheb toiled against all odds to build up the Ansar group of institutions - 13 institutions spanning from elementary to postgraduate education and to mental and physical healthcare institutions. It upholds and disseminates the divine message of compassion, righteousness, human values, equality of human beings etc. by the propagation of literacy, learning and the creation of high moral consciousness, it has shaped the future of thousands of students from the length and breadth of India.

They are being educated at Ansar English School without any discrimination in food, appearance or treatment.

Training College for Women

This self-financing teacher education college established in 2005 is affiliated to the University of Calicut and recognized by the NCTE.  It is well reputed for its dedicated efforts for the development of the community and stands out for its unique qualities and, therefore, is well sought after for admissions.  The extreme backwardness of Muslim women and the scarcity of enlightened and skillful women teachers capable of safeguarding Islamic values, cultures and faith were the thought provoking facts for establishing a training centre exclusively for women.
