Observance of World Leprosy Day & Martyrs' Day

On January 30th, Ansar English School observed World Leprosy Day and Martyrs' Day with meaningful activities across different sections. The Primary Section Science Department raised awareness about leprosy by encouraging students to wear purple ribbons with messages like "Leprosy is Treatable" and creating a Compassion Chain filled with kind messages, emphasizing empathy and the fact that leprosy is curable. In the Secondary and Senior Secondary Sections, students of IX-C and XI-C led the observance, reflecting on Mahatma Gandhi’s unfinished mission to eliminate leprosy and honoring martyrs who shaped the nation’s history. The day featured a live quiz, where participants received sweets, and an awareness session highlighting the significance of gratitude towards national heroes. Additionally, a drawing competition on historical moments was announced, with submissions accepted until January 31st, 3:00 PM. The event inspired students to embrace values of compassion, awareness, and patriotism.
